Dale Cotten - Warehouse/Seed Division

Dale Cotten has been in the farming business since his childhood days at the family ranch in Sapinero, Colorado. Born and raised on the Western Slope, Dale’s life and interests always involved 4-H and the Future Farmers of America organizations. Graduating from Gunnison High School in 1961, Dale went on to pursue a degree in Animal Nutrition at Colorado State University. He worked his way through college at the CSU dairy until he graduated in 1967, then found work on a dairy farm in Lafayette. In January 1970, he and his parents bought a dairy in Delta. Dale stayed in the dairy business for 30 years and decided to retire in 2000, when he sold the cows. Never able to sit still for long, he jumped on the tractor and resumed farming, this time raising alfalfa hay. As if he wasn’t busy enough, Dale heard that Cropworx (formerly Grand Mesa Discount) needed an extra hand, and he joined the crew in 2004. Dale and his wife have quite the legacy, boasting 3 sons, 1 daughter, 14 grandkids, 2 great grandkids, 2 stepsons, 1 stepdaughter, 5 step grandkids, and 10 step great grandkids.
